Szafnauer: New factory timing changed because of COVID-19

Otmar Szafnauer has revealed that the new Aston Martin Formula 1 factory is on target to be opened in August 2022. Plans started following Lawrence Stroll's takeover of the Silverstone-based outfit in 2018, but the COVID-19 pandemic has led to work being delayed a year. “[The plans are] online, but the line and the timing has changed because of COVID,” Szafnauer said, as reported by Formula 1. “We are making progress.
