Praise on departure Abiteboul: 'From a second-to-last in 2016 to podium places'
There is no room for Cyril Abiteboul at the new Renault project, Alpine F1. The former team boss was set to be the CEO of Alpine, but that spot has been given to Laurent Rossi. General Manager of Renault Luca de Meo thanks the Frenchman for his commitment as he leaves the sport. Luca de Meo thanks Abiteboul Abiteboul said goodbye to the team where he returned in 2016 to accompany the re-entry of the brand in F1. In the same press statement, De Meo also said goodbye to the team boss of Renault F1. "I would like to warmly thank Cyril for his tireless involvement, which notably led the Renault F1 Team from the penultimate place in 2016 to the podiums last season." Read more...
