Tost: 'He taught Max Verstappen everything he needed as a young boy'
Franz Tost speaks highly of Jos Verstappen. According to the AlphaTauri team boss, Max Verstappen owes a lot of his qualities to 'the great training' of Verstappen senior. The training of father Jos "Jos taught Max everything he needed as a young boy", says Tost in conversation with Formule1.nl. Tost was team boss of Max Verstappen when the Dutchman competed for Toro Rosso in Formula 1. "I don't know if Max would have achieved the same without Jos. He would probably have ended up in Formula 1, but whether he would have been as fast and successful as he is now? I doubt that", the 64-year-old Austrian continues.
