Jarno Opmeer become F1 Esports Champion
Jarno Opmeer is the F1 Esports Series champion of 2020. The Dutchman finished seventh in the last race at Interlagos, but had enough to defend his title in the online class. He is the first Dutch champion. The F1 Esports Series was set up in 2017 as a major tournament for thousands of players to participate. The winner at the time, Brendon Leigh, also became the winner of the first official season in 2018, when the drivers also became part of official Formula 1 teams. Leigh won that year for Mercedes.
