Brawn praises Carey's 'true leadership' in challenging times

Formula 1 director Ross Brawn paid tribute to outgoing F1 chief executive Chase Carey, praising the "true leadership" displayed by the American during the sport's challenging times. The onslaught earlier this year of the global coronavirus pandemic left Formula 1's initial 2020 calendar in tatters as races were cancelled or postponed at the outset of the season. F1's executives, along with the FIA, the sport's teams and race promoters, were forced to pull up their sleeves last spring and devise a comprehensive plan to allow a viable campaign to take place.
