Grosjean reveals planned farewell helmet designed by children

Romain Grosjean has revealed that he planned to wear a special helmet, designed by his three children, before being ruled out of this weekend’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Grosjean was set to exit Formula 1 after the 2020 campaign, having lost his seat at Haas, but his departure was brought forward in the wake of his fiery Bahrain accident. Grosjean suffered a 53G impact in an accident at the start of the Bahrain race on November 29 and spent 28 seconds in fire before he was able to extricate himself.
