Abiteboul responds to criticism amid Alonso test confirmation

Fernando Alonso tests the R.S.18 at Bahrain Renault Managing Director Cyril Abiteboul has deflected criticism from Racing Point amid the FIA’s decision to allow Fernando Alonso to run at the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 test. Alonso, who has battled to get up to speed following his initial exit in 2018, will run at the post-season test initially slated for young drivers after Renault lobbied to have the two-time world champion take part.
