‘Crashing behind a SC easier than you'd imagine'

Crashing behind a Safety Car may be a 'cardinal sin' but Jolyon Palmer says it is 'far easier' to do than one can imagine. George Russell blighted his copybook at Sunday's Emilia Romagna Grand Prix when the Williams driver crashed while warming up his tyres behind the Safety Car. To add insult to injury, the 22-year-old was in the race for his first-ever Formula 1 point. Russell, gutted by his error sat on the side of the track with his helmet as he took a while to come to terms with his mistake.
