Alfa Romeo and Sauber extend Formula 1 partnership
Alfa Romeo and Sauber Motorsport have extended their partnership to continue their Formula 1 collaboration through next year, the parties announced on Thursday. Alfa Romeo returned to Formula 1 in 2018 as the title sponsor to Sauber and last year the team was rebranded under the Italian company’s name. Sauber continues to operate and run the team out of its long-standing base in the Swiss town on Hinwil. Current Alfa Romeo drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi are expected to stay on for 2021. “The extension of our relationship with Alfa Romeo is a true statement of intent from both parties,” said Sauber Motorsport CEO and Alfa Romeo F1 team boss Frederic Vasseur. “In...
