Bottas leads Mercedes 1-2 in opening practice at Portimão
Valtteri Bottas upheld his 2020 Friday form by setting the pace in the opening practice session for the Portuguese GP, the Finn leading teammate Lewis Hamilton to ensure a Mercedes 1-2 at the outset. Bottas' fastest lap on the medium tyre edged Hamilton by 0.339s, while Red Bull's Max Verstappen was 0.781s adrift in third, with Ferrari Charles Leclerc and Verstappen's teammate Alex Albon rounding off the top five.
