Australian GP organisers insist Melbourne will host F1 2021 season-opener

Organisers of the Australian Grand Prix insist Melbourne will retain its traditional March slot as the opening round of the 2021 Formula 1 season. Having been officially cancelled along with the other opening nine rounds that formed the initial schedule, there have been suggestions that next year’s Australian Grand Prix could be moved amid extremely harsh travel restrictions due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns.
