Gearbox changes at Red Bull, AlphaTauri, McLaren and Williams
On Friday evening the FIA announced that four drivers with new gearboxes will enter the Eifel Grand Prix. They are Alexander Albon, Daniil Kvyat, Carlos Sainz and Nicholas Latifi. The four drivers will not have to face a grid penalty this weekend. Kvyat is allowed to have a new gearbox in his AlphaTauri car because he drove six Grands Prix with his previous gearbox. The regulations of the F1 state that a 'free' change is allowed after this number.
