After Ferrari announced it would not be renewing Vettel’s contract beyond the end of the year, Racing Point wasted no time in getting talks underway with the four-time world champion in the bid to secure his services. Vettel’s signature marks a huge coup and is a major statement of intent for the Silverstone-based squad as it readies to enter a new era as the Aston Martin F1 Team.
