Wolff working behind the scenes to avoid Racing Point appeal

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff is working behind the scenes, acting as a "mediator" to try and settle Racing Point's brake duct case and avoid it going to the FIA Court of Appeal. On Friday, the FIA Stewards found Racing Point to be in breach of F1's technical rules, having copied the design of Mercedes 2019 brake ducts to use the component on its 2020 car. The Silverstone-based squad was fined 400,000 and docked 15 points from the Constructors' championship. Four teams, Ferrari, McLaren, Renault and Williams subsequently signified their intention to appeal the verdict, criticizing its leniency while Racing Point also lodged an appeal to clear its name as it considers that it has done...
