McLaren F1 drivers in Carlin-run F3 Silverstone test
McLaren Formula 1 drivers Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz Jr. returned to action on Thursday as they drove old-specification Formula 3 cars at a wet Silverstone. A handful of Formula 1 teams have got back to the circuit across the past couple of weeks, with Mercedes running its W08, Renault its R.S.18 and Racing Point its current-spec RP20. But due to the nature of its deal with engine supplier Renault McLaren does not have operational Formula 1 machinery that it can bring to a circuit.
