Schumacher, son of Ralf, joins F1 Esports with Racing Point

David Schumacher will compete for Racing Point in this weekend’s Formula 1 Virtual Dutch Grand Prix. Schumacher, 19, is the son of six-time Formula 1 race winner Ralf, who began his career with Racing Point’s predecessor Jordan in 1997. Schumacher raced in the Formula Regional European Championship last year and also made his Formula 3 debut, competing in the season-ending Sochi round and standalone Macau Grand Prix. He will remain in the tertiary series this season after signing to compete for Charouz Racing System. Formula 1 is holding virtual rounds on its F1 2019 platform in place of grands prix that have been cancelled or postponed due to the pandemic. Formula 1 was meant to be...
