Vasseur warns of ‘very costly' busy F1 calendar
Alfa Romeo team principal Fred Vasseur says that a new 2020 schedule which packs lots of races in would be 'very costly' for smaller teams. Formula 1 bosses have moved already to help teams cope with the financial burden caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, including delaying the new regulations until 2022, while there is an upcoming meeting to discuss lowering the 2021 budget cap. The 2020 season is yet to get underway with the first nine races called off, but Formula 1 hopes that the season could get going by July and feature 19 races.
