Easter deadline for Canadian GP, says promoter

Organisers of the Canadian Grand Prix have set an Easter deadline for a decision on whether its event will go ahead as planned. The grand prix is due to take place at Montreal’s Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on 12-14 June and is currently slated to be the opening round of the 2020 season. Formula 1 has already postponed all events up until that point while Monaco – originally scheduled for late May – has been cancelled altogether. “We would have to make a decision by Easter weekend,” Canadian Grand Prix promoter Francois Dumontier is quoted by the BBC, referring to 11/12 April.
