Mercedes calls on FIA/F1 to cancel Australian Grand Prix

The Mercedes F1 team has confirmed it is no longer happy to proceed with the Australian Grand Prix in light of recent developments. The team issued a statement on Friday morning in which it states it had sent a letter to the FIA and F1 requesting the race be cancelled. 'The Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team has today sent a letter to the FIA and F1 requesting the cancellation of the 2020 Australian Grand Prix. 'We share the disappointment of the sport’s fans that this race cannot go ahead as planned.
