Racing Point maintain: RP20 is completely legal

Racing Point doesn't see a point in rivals complaining about its pink Mercedes as Andy Green says it is 'completely legal'. Racing Point was the surprise of the 2020 pre-season, although as Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto put it, one shouldn't be surprised given the 'shape of the car'. The team's new RP20 is very much based on the look of the Mercedes F1 car, sporting the same sidepods, airbox, front wing and rear wing. It has been dubbed the ‘pink Mercedes'. But not everyone is happy with reports claiming Renault and maybe also McLaren could protest the copycat design come the season-opening Australian GP.
