Norris to be less jokey in second season
Perhaps it was the ability to finally mix it with the front of the midfield again, or perhaps it was the arrival of Andreas Seidl and James Key, either way the mood at McLaren was a lot better in 2019 than witnessed during the doom and gloom era of the Honda partnership. Of course, another factor was the recruitment of Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris, the pair not only delivering on track but bringing a new sense of fun to a team usually seen as corporate and grey. While the professionalism of the pair was rarely in doubt, some said that Norris spent a little too much time on social media, claiming that the youngster might have been a little too preoccupied with entertaining fans with jokes...
