Mercedes confirms shakedown date for 2020 F1 car

Reigning World Champions Mercedes has confirmed that its 2020 Formula 1 car will make its track debut on February 14. Mercedes will hold a private shakedown of its new car at British Grand Prix venue Silverstone five days before the start of pre-season testing. Each Formula 1 team is permitted two days of private running during the course of the year, at which track action is limited to 100km, with Pirelli’s promotional tyres mandatory. Mercedes is aiming for a record-breaking seventh successive Constructors’ title in 2020, having been unbeaten throughout Formula 1’s hybrid era.
