Robert Kubica to test for BMW at DTM's rookie test

Robert Kubica will get behind the wheel of BMW’s M4 as he edges closer to a move to the DTM for the 2020 season. Kubica competed for BMW Sauber in Formula 1 from mid-2006 through 2009, taking his and the marque’s sole victory at the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix. Kubica’s Formula 1 career was interrupted by the severe arm injuries he sustained in a rally crash in early 2011, but in 2017 mounted a comeback to the championship. Having carried out tests for Renault he captured a Williams test role in 2018 before stepping up to a race seat for 2019, ending an eight-year absence from the grid.
