Lewis Hamilton officially crowned 2019 F1 champion at FIA Gala

Lewis Hamilton has officially received the Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship trophy for a sixth time during Friday’s FIA Prize Giving Ceremony in France. Hamilton picked up the accolade during the annual FIA Gala, which was held on Friday evening at the world-famous Musee de Louvre in Paris. Hamilton was joined by Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff, representing the manufacturer, which secured its sixth successive Constructors’ trophy this year. Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen were also in attendance to collect their prize for finishing second and third respectively in the championship.
