F1's sustainability plans will benefit wider society - Jean Todt

FIA President Jean Todt has backed proposals outlined on Tuesday by Formula 1 in which the championship aims to have net-zero carbon footprint by 2030. Environmental issues have been a discussion point in recent years and on Tuesday Formula 1 unveiled its plans for a more sustainable and eco-friendly sport. “Our commitment to global environmental protection is crucial,” said Todt, who has been at the helm of the governing body since 2009. “The FIA welcomes this Formula 1 initiative.
