Grosjean wanted to punch a wall after Lap 1 retirement
Russian Grand Prix – Romain Grosjean says his first lap retirement is hard to take, as Haas appeared competitive at Sochi. Romain Grosjean was knocked out of the Russian Grand Prix on the very first lap, as a result of a three car clash. Approaching Turn 4 on the outside of Alfa Romeo's Antonio Giovinazzi and Renault's Daniel Ricciardo, the trio reached a clinch point at the apex of the corner and clashed. While Giovinazzi survived the impact in the middle of the three drivers, Daniel Ricciardo picked up damage that would eventually result in his retirement.
