Kubica grid penalty confirmed for Russian GP
Robert Kubica was perhaps expected to start the Russian Grand Prix low down the field, but taking a new power unit has confirmed he will remain at the back of the grid. Williams have taken a new Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), turbocharger and MGU-H in Sochi - the fourth Kubica has used all season for each element. Article continues under video It means he will serve enough penalties to send him to the back of the grid regardless of qualifying performance. Toro Rosso's Daniil Kvyat joins Kubica at the back of the grid after taking a new Honda power unit, while his team-mate Pierre Gasly and Red Bull pair Max Verstappen and Alexander Albon have five-place penalties for taking new ICEs....
