Stella: ‘Tough’ Piastri will bounce back in China ’more determined’

McLaren team boss Andrea Stella has backed Oscar Piastri to return stronger and more determined after the local heroe’s Formula 1 season began in heartbreaking fashion at the Australian Grand Prix. Piastri’s home race at Albert Park Circuit ended before it even began when the McLaren driver crashed his MCL40 during a reconnaissance lap roughly 40 minutes before the start. The contact with the wall caused heavy front-end damage, leaving the 24-year-old stranded and unable to join the grid.
