Audi hands unexpected lifeline to ex-F2 charger Ralph Boschung

Audi has delivered one of the more unexpected twists of the F1 pre-season, with the German manufacturer announcing that the former F2 race winner, Ralph Boschung – who was widely believed to have stepped away from racing for good – has joined its driver development programme. What looked like a quiet retirement for the 28-year-old Swiss racer has suddenly transformed into a strategic comeback, albeit in a very different role. Boschung, had signaled the end of his competitive career in 2024 through social media posts that read like a definitive farewell. Instead, he has now resurfaced...
