F1’s unsung support act

While drivers aspiring to F1 race in the single seat categories of GP2 and GP3, there's a hidden gem among the support races which is preparing drivers for a GT future: Porsche Supercup. The Supercup was a support series to F1 at the eight European rounds this season, while late calendar change saw the finale in Sochi dropped for a double-header at Circuit of the Americas in November. With the championship being decided between New Zealander Earl Bamber and Pole Kuba Giermaziak in Austin, a full house in Texas was the perfect setting for the title showdown.
