Leclerc fastest; Hamilton close in rainy FP2 session

Italian Grand Prix – Ferrari's Charles Leclerc has gone fastest in second practice at Monza, pipping the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton by half a tenth. With rain threatening the Monza circuit as the second ninety minute practice session began, the opening minutes of FP2 were a flurry of activity as almost everyone came out on track immediately. The times were much quicker than this morning's wet-to-dry FP1, with the Ferrari and Mercedes drivers immediately down into the 1:22s. Mercedes seized the early initiative with Lewis Hamilton ahead of Valtteri Bottas by 0.150 seconds. With the pace heating up, Charles Leclerc did a 1:20.978 on the Soft tyre, with Sebastian Vettel slotting into P2...
