Vettel fights back at COTA
Sebastian Vettel hit back in the third and final session before qualifying at the United States Grand Prix, leading an all-Ferrari 1-2 ahead of Kimi Raikkonen, with title rival Lewis Hamilton in third. Vettel will be desperate for a similar result in quali at the Circuit of the Americas as he faces the prospect of a three-place grid penalty. After Saturday's running was wrecked by rain, the circuit was incredibly busy for the FP3, with teams attempting to cram in both qualifying and long-run simulations. Vettel ended up on top, although there was intrigue on the Scuderia's set-up. FP3 CLASSIFICATION: So far, so fast for @ScuderiaFerrari ???? #USGP ???????? #F1 pic.twitter.com/hQlhBVueeL...
