Wolff admits Mercedes may have to consider Bottas support role
Toto Wolff admits Mercedes may have to consider using Valtteri Bottas to aid Formula 1 teammate Lewis Hamilton’s title bid in the near-future. Mercedes has been keen to ensure both Hamilton and Bottas have an equal chance of success this season and has allowed its drivers to race freely for much of the year, though it did use team orders in the closing stages of the German Grand Prix to protect a one-two finish on home soil.
