Hungaroring: Did You Know?
The Hungaroring is the next venue on the Formula One calendar this weekend... here are some facts you may not have known ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix! First Race Held: This was back in August 10, 1986 - the eleventh round of the 1986 F1 season. A record 200,000 spectators were at the venue to see this. 76 laps was won by Brazilian Nelson Piquet - despite his fellow countryman Ayrton Senna starting on pole. Piquet was racing for Williams and had a fierce battle with Lotus' Senna. Piquet was the man that day, with Senna finishing second and another Williams driver, Nigel Mansell completing the podium.
