WATCH: Bottas crashes out in Q3
Valtteri Bottas has crashed out of Australian GP qualifying and will start the race no higher than 10th place. The Mercedes driver was just starting his first flying lap in Q3 when he ran wide into Turn One, and when Bottas got on the power just off the apex he lost control of his car and smashed into the barriers. It was a huge shunt and the crash meant the session was temporarily red-flagged. The costly mistake, with the Finn failing to set a timed lap in the session, could also result in a five-place grid penalty for a gearbox change, while Mercedes will have plenty of work to do to get his W09 ready for Sunday's race.
