Revealed: Tyre selections for Australian GP
Tyre selections from each team have been revealed by Pirelli as we close in on the season opener in Melbourne on March 25. The purple-striped ultrasoft tyre has proven to be very popular, with Mercedes pair Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas taking nine sets apiece, one more than both Red Bull drivers and two more than Ferrari. Williams duo Sergey Sirotkin and Lance Stroll have also taken nine, as have McLaren's Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne. Ferrari actually have one of the more conservative strategies as Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen both have three sets of the slowest soft tyres at their disposal.
