Haas F1 to use Carbon Industrie brakes in Russia

Haas will switch to Carbon Industrie brakes for this weekend’s Russian Grand Prix, after sampling the manufacturer’s products during in-season testing last week. Improving performance under braking has been a crucial focus for Haas during its time in Formula 1, with Romain Grosjean in particular sensitive to the material he has available. Both Grosjean and team-mate Kevin Magnussen sampled Carbon Industrie’s brakes during testing in Bahrain last week and will run the products at Sochi, as opposed to equipment from Brembo. “To be fair to Brembo the last updates we had in brakes that arrived in China were much better, it took a long time to get them,” said...
