– Antonio Giovinazzi has issued an apology to Sauber after he suffered a heavy crash at the end of the first qualifying phase for the Chinese Grand Prix.Ferrari reserve Giovinazzi has again replaced Pascal Wehrlein in Shanghai, the latter working "flat out" on his fitness levels after a compromised pre-season.Having thrown away a potential improvement in Q1 in Australia, he made another mistake in his second qualifying session, this time with bigger consequences.As he attacked the final corner, the Italian ran wide, lost control of his car over the run-off strip, slid across the track and hit the barriers, causing significant damage.Giovinazzi was cleared of injury during a...
