Palmer happy with initial Renault showing

 XPB Images Jolyon Palmer says his first experiences behind the wheel of the Renault R.S.17 have exceeded expectations. Palmer completed 143 laps in total over three days in pre-season testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. He ended the week on a high in third place on Thursday's timesheets, and was sixth fastest of all four days. "It's a pleasant surprise at the moment," Palmer said afterwards. "I think we've had quite a strong week, performance-wise," he said. "But we don't really know what everyone else is doing yet.
