Leclerc gives up Abu Dhabi FP1 outing with Haas

Charles Leclerc has given up on driving for the Haas Formula 1 team in free practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The Monegasque driver was scheduled to replace Esteban Gutierrez alongside Romain Grosjean in first practice at Yas Marina. However, Leclerc announced on Thursday that he will not be driving the F1 car during the weekend, as he wants to focus on his GP3 duties. The 19-year-old is currently leading the standings by 29 points from Alexander Albon with just the Abu Dhabi round remaining.
