Pérez: Different strategic approach backfired
– Sergio Pérez reckons Force India's alternative strategic approach during the Canadian Grand Prix did not work, despite the Mexican scoring points for a fourth successive race.Pérez was the only driver to start the race on the Soft compound tyre, having qualified in 11th position, and completed two further stints on used sets of the Super Soft and Soft tyres.Pérez eventually came home in 10th position, two places behind Force India team-mate Nico Hülkenberg."It was a difficult race and looking back I don't think we chose the optimum strategy," he said."We tried to go down a different route compared to everyone else, but the cooler track conditions didn't...
