Vettel fastest in third practice, Magnussen crash cuts session short

Sebastian Vettel set the pace in third practice for the Canadian Grand Prix but the session was cut short following a crash for Kevin Magnussen. The Danish driver lost control of his car at the exit of Turn 7 during an out-lap and hit the outside wall heavily with just under 15 minutes left on the clock. The damage to the car and wall meant the session was not restarted with nine minutes still to run. Vettel finished quickest with a 1m13.919 on the ultra-soft tyre, two tenths clear of Max Verstappen.
