Familiarisation the goal for Kvyat in Barcelona test
Spanish Grand Prix – Toro Rosso ran Daniil Kvyat for the second and final day of the post-race test in Barcelona, with the aim of making sure the Russian is familiar and comfortable in the STR11. Kvyat completed 116 laps, giving the team a total of 194 laps when combined with Pierre Gasly’s mileage on Tuesday, which mostly comprised of aero work. “We put Daniil in the car today with the main targets to get him further familiarisation in the STR11 and to start to work the set-up around him,” said Chief Race Engineer Phil Charles. “We have made some progress on both fronts: firstly, we have completed a number of different types of runs today (short, long, medium and high fuel) and...
