Hamilton concerned by regulation proposals

Mercedes AMG Petronas World Champion Lewis Hamilton says Formula 1's aim of lowering lap times from 2017 won't have the desired effect of increasing the on-track spectacle. Formula 1 chiefs are keen to introduce regulations which will see the 2017 cars around three to five seconds faster than their predecessors, ostensibly through increased downforce levels, but Hamilton is unconvinced that such a change will help. Hamilton's comments come a week after the Grand Prix Drivers' Association penned an open letter, criticising the rule making within the sport. "There's been a lot of talk about the rules and whether the drivers should be more involved in decision making," he said....
