Renault opens up options on updated power unit

Renault says it will work in 'full consultation' with Red Bull and Toro Rosso on whether either team opts for the updated power unit in Austin. Despite the fractious relationship between the French manufacturer and the teams, which is due to an end once the 2015 Formula 1 season comes to a close, Renault has confirmed it is committed to providing a professional performance over the final four races of the year. Renault says it will make the new spec power unit available to its customer teams for the US Grand Prix with improvements made on the ICE to provide greater power and energy efficiency.
