Button admits "joy" of F1 is gone, as retirement talk swirls

Amid increased speculation regarding his career, Jenson Button has admitted that the "joy" of competing in Formula 1 is no longer there. British newspaper reports have suggested that Button is poised to announce his retirement from F1 at this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix, after a difficult season with McLaren. Although McLaren has an option on him for 2016 that could force him to stay, it is understood that the team's financial situation – and an eagerness to bring his salary down – have forced a rethink of the future plans.
