Maldonado retained by Lotus for 2016 season

Pastor Maldonado has been retained by Lotus F1 Team for the 2016 season. Maldonado joined Lotus back in 2013 following Kimi Raikkonen's move to Ferrari, and has scored 14 points during his time with the team. His spell with the team will now extend into a third season, with Lotus confirming on Sunday following the Singapore Grand Prix that he had been retained for 2016. 'It’s great that the team can confirm my position as race driver for 2016,' Maldonado said.
