Lotus confirm Maldonado will keep his seat in 2016

Lotus have confirmed that Pastor Maldonado will keep his seat for the 2016 season, though the team have yet to confirm who his team-mate will be. The Venezuelan, who has scored just 12 points compared to current team-mate Grosjean's 38, will stay for a third season. "It's a positive for the future of Lotus F1 Team that we are able to confirm publically that Pastor remains with us for next season," said co-owner Gerard Lopez. "Everyone at Enstone will testify that Pastor is a terrific person to work with and we all know the performances he is capable of on track.
