McLaren still pushing for short nose in Austria

McLaren is still hoping to introduce its full new aerodynamic package in time for the Austrian Grand Prix,  despite its new short nose having yet to pass its mandatory crash test. As Motorsport.com revealed last month, McLaren is to introduce a major overhaul of its MP4-30 for the Red Bull Ring in a bid to make rapid progress up the grid. The revamp, which will include floor, wings and other bodywork, also includes a new short nose, which is following the concept adopted by Williams and Red Bull.
