Pierre Gasly lands Toro Rosso test chance

Red Bull development driver Pierre Gasly will make his debut in an F1 car with a run in the Toro Rosso during the post Spanish Grand Prix test, the team has announced. The Frenchman, who will compete in the GP2 Series this season after finishing runner-up to current Toro Rosso F1 driver Carlos Sainz in the Formula Renault 3.5 Championship, will drive the STR10 at the Circuit de Catalunya following next month's Spanish Grand Prix. Though it isn't confirmed which of the two days he will make an appearance, it will be the first time Gasly has had a chance to drive an F1 car since joining the Red Bull development programme in 2014.
